1 John 5:11-12 (NIV)
And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

There is a simplified logic portrayed in this scripture. John understood the depths of Christs’ redemption and the promises of eternal life. The reward of our service and obedience to God, is the promise of eternal life which is living beyond the death of the physical, and eternally in the presence of God. The condition as spelled by John is simple: That life which we all look forward to living one day, has been awarded to Jesus and He protects it for you as an inheritance. If you really want that eternal life you must have Christ which means without Christ you will never attain that eternal life. This is cardinal to receiving every good and perfect heavenly gift. From the forgiveness of your sin, through obtaining favor in God’s sight to commanding heaven. It is all in this simple truth. Accept Jesus wholeheartedly.
PRAYER:
I accept you this day O Lord. Come and live in this heart of stone and break this will of pride. Please restore the beauty in my life with the gift of eternal life. In Jesus’ name I pray.
