WK 48 - His Glory For You, He Shares With No Other.

Isaiah 42:8 (NIV)

“I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols.

WORD:

The word “ Lord” can only be self-proclaimed by someone having power, authority, or influence; a master or ruler. God continues with this to establish His identity by also saying it was His name. As a child of God who realizes that sovereignty, God has to be the one and only source for your existence. The glory of God holds all of His being, majesty, authority, promises, favor, love, compassion, and eternity. None of this, He is willing to give either in part or in whole to any other god. Everything you can ever possess or ask for is amplified within His glory. The habitation of God is within His praise and He will share with no Idol because that is one of the highest sacrifices you can ever make to Him. Idols are “anything” that replaces the presence of God in your life. Proclaim Him as Lord and praise His name forever more.

PRAYER:

I call you Lord today and I submit my heart, thoughts, and will to you. I will praise your name, and I acknowledge your Lordship and existence. Your praise I will give to no other and your glory, I uphold. Amen.
