WK 19 - Our Help

Nehemiah 6:9 (NIV)

They were all trying to frighten us, thinking, “Their hands will get too weak for the work, and it will not be completed. ”But I prayed, “Now strengthen my hands.”

WORD:

Nehemiah was for the 5th time responding to the threat of the enemy. He stood resolute and kept his eye on the mission to rebuild the complete walls of Jerusalem. After trying to persuade a plot against him, they finally wrote to threaten him with conspiracy hoping to sow discouragement and slow them from their goal. This is a very common tactic of the enemy to knock us off the will of God for our lives. This type of threat will always be present towards you as a believer. But just as Nehemiah prayed and asked God to strengthen his weakening hands, you will look to God and pray for strength because it is He who teaches your hands to war and is the ultimate source of your strength. Your prayer should always be directed towards the heavens. That is your source of strength.

PRAYER:

I pray Oh Lord, please give strength to my hands and quicken my feet against the enemies who rise against me. Exalt me with the power of your might. In Jesus Name.
