But others fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
The seed carries the potential promise of the harvest and determines the quantity of the yield. It is important where that seed is sown because not all seeds can grow in one specific geographic area. A good seed sown in the wrong place would yield nothing. In the physical, sowing corn produces a corn harvest but in the spirit, the fertility of your heart and the motives of the sower (giver) determines whether it’s a hundred, sixty or thirty fold. One silver coin may yield a thousand and a thousand may yield one. The key is to be led by the Spirit to understand the times and seasons.
Father prune the thorns out of my heart and renew my spirit so my heart can be purified and fertilized ready for your word. Teach me your will and lead me on a fruitful path. I Jesus’ name.
