“and try to live a holy life, because no one will see the Lord without it”.
Paul’s use of the word “try” is an acknowledgement that we will find ourselves in some “unholy” situations and reminds us of its importance because our goal as Christians is to make heaven. We have strengths in some areas of our lives and weaknesses in others. The key is to keep trying and moving towards the goal line. There are those who will seek to help us fall and those who will help us rise. As bad as it is, falling is the easiest part, but rising and dusting ourselves off and carrying on is most important.. Jesus knows your struggles and he doesn’t condemn you so let no one have the pleasure of a laugh.
Help me O Lord to live a life pleasing to you. When I fall, I will rise and when rise I will call upon you and you will heed my voice. Let thy Spirit lead me into all truth and understanding. In Jesus’ name.
