Romans 12:8 (NIV)
if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
WORD:
I couldn’t help but think of how we have got these ones wrong. Yes most of us do give but do we do it out of our surplus or we really listen to the inner man and do it generously. If in authority, do we see that promotion as a place of reign or an opportunity to serve.? How many church leaders still do the very things that got them close to God? Where is the empathy from the early church? Be known for the right things, let people feel your impact when you are alive and let your light shine before men that they will see that “Christ like” nature in your heart. Shalom!
PRAYER:
We have fallen short of good works Oh Lord and have been consumed with personal gain, fear and not trusted you enough. Let your Spirit remind me of my duties from now on. In Jesus’ name I pray.
