Psalm 118:8-11 (NIV)
It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes. All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord will I destroy them. They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.
WORD:
Some people trust in the strength of their chariots, others in the superiority of their national origin and some just cling to men. The veil of salvation covered the face of every man until we were all shown the light of the world - Jesus. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put your trust in men, princes, chariots and heritage. David knew the impossible things he did was solely because the Lord was his anchor and source. He was always outnumbered in battle but always victorious. The Lord is with you and even though you may feel encompassed by enemies, you will destroy them and walk out victorious.
PRAYER:
I will trust in you alone O Lord. Though overwhelmed with the issues of life and lost at times in my fears, I have learnt to trust you. My shield and anchor.
