Psalm 53:2
God looks down from heaven at the human race to see if there are any who are wise, any who worship him.
WORD:
God is sovereign and can raise stones to do anything including worshiping him. He instead looks for men to play that role of worship. God refers to humans who worship him as wise. Worship is submission to his reverence and it is the beginning of wisdom. There is only one source of Godly wisdom and it is God himself; being wise doesn’t come by default. It is safe to say there’s an element of choice in your decision to attain wisdom. When God looks down and sees all of us, he’s looking for the heart of worship. It stands out just like the bleeding bright red blood from the thorns and ribs of Jesus.
PRAYER:
Holy Spirit of God you were promised to come and teach us the truth and lead us all into his presence. Teach me to fear the Lord and to learn the right ways of worshiping in obedience. In Jesus’ name I pray.
