WK3 - Unyielding Faith: The Uncommon Promised Life On Trust.

Hebrews 11:11 (NIV)

And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.

WORD:

There are a couple of things going on here: Sarah is too old to have a child, she may have given up on the idea of having her own, and her husband was biologically in an impossible state. This story changed because of faith. Sarah held on to the promises of God for her and never let go of the possibility of experiencing the miraculous. This scripture credits her for trusting God and the promise of Isaac. We are human and our very nature upends our ability to trust unconditionally. We have to ask questions sometimes which opens the door to doubt. There are many impossibilities in our mind and hearts but let this week be the week of the uncommon where the impossibilities become reachable and attainable. It’s all about trusting his word and holding on to hope and thanksgiving.

PRAYER:

Remember me O Lord, for I am holding on to the promises of your word. I am faithless sometimes, but look not upon my unbelief. Let your mercy abound upon me.
