1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (NIV)
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.
WORD:
Verse 13 gives us the tools to become ruthless in the kingdom and in our Christian life. On our guard, we stay alert and are able to sniff out the enemy's tactics. Standing firm in the faith assures us of our place with God as we please him unconditionally. Being courageous is not only powerful to face the fears of the raging storms, but empowers us to be ready with the “Armor of God” with offensive capabilities. Our strength comes from God himself when we know we bring him joy. But most important of all these is that, we do everything in Love. Love is that tool which makes everything right with God; who we reach out to, who we consider a sinner, who we forgive, trust or accept, and who we pray for. To love, we must know what love is. It is God himself.
PRAYER:
I pray O Lord, May my knowledge of you deepen, and my understanding of your ways guide my path unto love. Faith to please you, courage to stand and strength to victory.
