Whose Word Shall We Believe?

Isaiah 62:1 (NIV)

For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.

WORD:

Two words stand out in this scripture. Vindication and Salvation. They portray God’s intentions towards his chosen and the believer whose trust is in him. We are a target for the world because of the special place God has prepared for us in eternity, and we are substitutes for the fallen morning star. (Isa 14:12). God has pledged to be your vindicator and to create a new beginning for your sake. An assured salvation which blazes like a torch, reminds of the flames from a welding torch. The physical eyes cannot behold it but only with a shaded lens. Christ is that shaded lens making our salvation possible. Shalom!

PRAYER:

I will be vindicated because you have said so and my salvation is assured because you will orchestrate it O Lord. Thank you for the clean slates and your unfailing love.
