Matthew 21:3
If anyone asks what you are doing, just say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and he will immediately let you take them.”
WORD:
Jesus was about to fulfill a prophetic word (The Triumphant Entry) which was going to be the beginning of the events leading to his crucifixion. God is infinite and Jesus is all powerful. The question is, does the sovereign God who made the heavens and the earth really need anything from us? What he needs from us varies and comes as expectations, responsibilities, and mandates. There’s a reason he made you and has allowed you to live and still be alive. There’s something the master needs from you and the road to a fulfilled life is dependent on either giving up something or willingly receiving what he’s given you. So, what do you have that me might need?
PRAYER:
Help us, O Lord, through the leading of the Spirit to identify what is expected of us, and what we must give up to walk in your will. Please take all that you need for your use. In Jesus’ name.
