Colossians 2:15 (NIV)
And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
WORD:
The word DISARM used here means to take away the fighting ability of your enemy or anyone who means to harm you. Jesus knowing what was to come ensured that you will win at all cost. He came, fought, defeated and took away the sting out of the devil’s venom. Guess what? Your VICTORY has nothing to do with your fighting skills, holiness or self but made possible through obedience to the cross. You won before the battle began!. The devil roars like a lion but he isn’t one. And this is your assurance in the waging of war against the enemy.
PRAYER:
O Lord, thank you for the gift of the cross. You set me on the path of victory and I am grateful. I will arise, finish the fight and declare your goodness. In Jesus’ name I pray.
