Matthew 21:13 (NLT)
and said to them, "It is written in the Scriptures that God said, 'My Temple will be called a house of prayer.' But you are making it a hideout for thieves!"
WORD:
Jesus goes into the temple in Jerusalem and finds it in a state of disarray. He girds his loins and disrupts the business enterprise in the Lord's house. We can all draw comparisons to what happens in some churches today but that's far from the lesson. Our bodies are temples just like that in Jerusalem and we must not turn it into a hideout for thieves, shady business and all kinds of vices capable of destroying God’s plan for your life. That is the goal of the enemy but you have the power to destroy the ungodly enterprise. If unable, Jesus will be more than happy to do it for you. Let him in to displace the enemy's works.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord. I have at times allowed my body to become a playground for the “spiritual merchants”. I displace the works of the enemy by your redemptive blood. Come live in me. On Jesus Name.
