Psalm 86:11 (NIV)
Teach me, LORD, what you want me to do, and I will obey you faithfully; teach me to serve you with complete devotion.
WORD:
I once heard that we never stop learning until we die. All of life itself teaches us valuable lessons through our experiences and desires. God has set a process in place to ensure we receive constant guidance and tutelage through the Holy Spirit. Obedience to God is the key to walking in his will. No amount of sacrifice can make up for our disobedience. Repentance will instead take us closer to being restored through God’s forgiveness. You will come to the crossroads sometimes and it is OK to ask God what he wants you to do. We always need to remember to ask for his help.
PRAYER:
I want to obey you Lord because I would rather be a servant in your courts than be a prince in the wrong place. Teach me the true essence of obedience in your presence. In Jesus’ name.
