Love one another warmly as Christian brothers and sisters, and be eager to show respect for one another.
Paul referred to them as Christian brothers and sisters because he was looking to sensitize them with the idea that they were bound by Christ. Irrespective of denominations, we are all on the same side fighting the common enemy and must not only unite but be respectful of each other because the enemy will seek to destroy these relationships. No father loves to see a divided house. Same is true of all thriving relationships. The seeds of doubt, hatred, betrayal and wickedness will destroy the harmony, trust and love. Be mindful and watchful. It’s the little foxes that spoil the vine.
Father Lord, open my eyes to see the abnormalities and the potential conflicts of disrespect, hatred and mistrust. Let your spirit brood over me so I can live in peace with the brethren. In Jesus’ name.
