1 Peter 3:15 (GNT)
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.
The word “LORD” is not a name but a description and an affirmation of Christ, as having authority and at par with God. It brings into focus the bonding of the father and his son. When you refer to Christ, know that he’s more than able to do for you what God can because he is God. Revering Christ in all you do will cause a notable change in your life and this scripture says, explain this with gentleness and respect. The truth always speaks for itself so you must present it on its own merits. It’s God who convicts the heart and not you. Become his mouth piece & proclaim his goodness.
O Lord Jesus, I exalt and magnify your name. As we read your word, let your true nature be revealed to our hearts so we may be equipped with and share your truth with the world. In Jesus’ name.
