2 Corinthians 4:17
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

The use of light affliction in this context suggests that, just as God gives different talents according to our abilities, he allows our affliction(s) in the same manner. This means that we are capable of overcoming any situation thrown at us even if we feel crushed. The key is to focus on the rewards because these afflictions are temporal but most importantly, they help build character, faith, resilience, patience etc. This process prepares us to behold the full weight of our manifested glory. Your afflictions are light and designed so you will be ready when you time comes to shine.
PRAYER:
Teach us O Lord to count our blessings and rejoice when we go through those moments which are avenues to our promotions. Let your glory be upon my life.In Jesus’ name.
