Hebrews 12:2 (NLT)
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
WORD:
There’s something which drives us all to do some of the things we do. Greed, Satisfaction, Money, Love, Hate, etc. Jesus on the other hand embraced the call for the cross, (crucifixion) so he could sit at God’s right hand. The joy of the cross was not so much to claim the “right hand seat”, but to have his blood speak through the time of intercession so he could have a legitimate say in our redemption from sin. God hates sin yet man is sinful so Jesus bore our sins so he could instead face the wrath and shame of God’s judgement. You have a champion in heaven. While you live, don’t let sin stand in the way.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for offering yourself so I can escape the wrath and judgement of God. Lead me in the path of what is right, what is loving and what is just in your sight. In Jesus’ name.
